NAVIGATION
Participants must follow the prescribed route. Anyone who shortcuts will be disqualified. If a participant leaves the route, they must continue from the point where they left it.
LIVE GPS TRACKING
Participants must carry the GPS tracker provided by us at all times. This allows us and others to follow Peaks & Plains on the official website.
SELF-SUFFICIENCY
Peaks & Plains must be completed in full self-sufficiency: food, drinks, equipment, spare parts and sleeping equipment must be brought along from the start or purchased along the way. Assistance from third parties is not allowed. This also includes drafting (except for pairs). Accommodations cannot be booked (e.g. Hotels, AirBnB, ...) or organized (like parking your camper van) before the start.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
All participants must behave in an environmentally conscious manner: dispose of waste properly, respect nature, and leave everything as they found it (or better).
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Peaks & Plains takes place on public roads and is NOT closed to traffic. Participants must follow the traffic rules. Helmets and lights are mandatory. Violations of traffic regulations can result in immediate disqualification (e.g. running red lights or crossing closed railway crossings).
RACE CONTROL
These rules cannot foresee every situation. If necessary, we will evaluate the circumstances and make our decision. Any decision made by race control is final.
